Before it disappears underground, the Pazinčica shapes a sequence of smaller landscapes across the central Istrian interior.
Zarečki Krov
Upstream from Pazin, Zarečki Krov is one of the river’s best-known natural features: a broad rock overhang and pool that reveals the softer, more open character of the same watercourse.
From daylight to karst
Closer to Pazin the river enters a deeper canyon and finally reaches the limestone swallow hole. That progression — open stream, gorge, abyss, underground river — is what makes the system so compelling.
